
How to Get a 50,000 AMD
Social Expense Refund for Health Insurance?
If you have purchased a health insurance package from EFES Insurance in 2024, you may be eligible for a social expense refund of up to 50,000 AMD.
To be eligible for the social expense refund, it is mandatory to submit your 2024 income declaration.
To be eligible for the social expense refund, it is necessary:





STEP 1
OPTION 1
Via a mobile phone

HAVE AN ID CARD

VISIT ANY MOBILE SERVICE CENTER
And if you do not have one, get one at any territorial division of the Migration and Citizenship Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
Visit any mobile service center of your or another preferred mobile operator with an ID and a mobile phone, where they will replace your mobile phone card (SIM card) with a new one, and in case of changing the operator, install a new card.

Activate electronic identification
Activate electronic identification with the help of the mobile operator's support staff and with your participation.

Activate electronic identification
Connect the electronic signature service at the service center of the mobile operator, as well as independently through payment terminals or on the website.

HAVE AN ID CARD

Have a Card Reader Device
Have a valid ID card with an electronic chip, issued by the Migration and Citizenship Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs before February 15, 2023, along with the PIN and PUK codes in a separate envelope.
Obtain an ID card reader, which can be purchased from EKENG CJSC (details here).

Obtain an Electronic Signature
Visit EKENG’s website and follow the instructions to activate the electronic card and obtain an electronic signature.

If you already have an active or current electronic identification and electronic signature with one of the above options, no additional action is required

If you have a valid electronic chip-containing identification card, but have lost or do not remember the PIN and PUK codes, follow Option 1

If you have a valid chip-less ID Card, follow Option 1

STEP 2
If you have obtained a health insurance policy with EFES Insurance for yourself and/or your family members during 2024, you can:
Recieve a compensation of up to 50,000 AMD of the insurance premium you paid for your and/or your family members' health insurance at EFES Insurance during 2024.
To receive compensation:

Fill out the application, and our staff will contact you within 1 business day.
We will issue the invoice to the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia, and the amount will automatically be reflected under Section 4 of the declaration.
If you take advantage of the opportunity to receive an income tax refund on a mortgage loan, tuition, or dividends, social security refund will be provided if there is a positive difference between the income tax calculated and/or paid for the reporting year and the amount refunded to the individual, as specified by the Tax Code.

STEP 3

The application system operates in a web version, through the Self Portal website.
OPTION 2
Via mobile app:
When downloading, enter “Self Portal” in the search field.


STEP 4
Once you have submitted the declaration and we have issued the invoice, the 'Social Expenses' section within the income declaration submission system will automatically display the total social expenses you have incurred and the corresponding compensation amount.
To receive the refund:

Log in to the Unified Electronic Services System for Individuals, and enter the "Tax Account" section, in the "Social Expenses" tab, you will see the amount eligible for refund

Log in to the "Declarations" section from the "Declaration Forms", and select "Application for Reimbursement of Funds from the Unified Account"

In the opened window, fill in the bank account number and amount eligible for reimbursement

After submitting the application, a window will appear where you need to click the Submit/Return button to finalize the process

Click the Sign button, choose the type of signature, and electronically sign the application, click the Submit to the Tax Service button to complete the process

The application has been successfully submitted
The social expense amount will be transferred to the specified bank account within up to 3 working days after submitting the application.
